Message From The Chairman of Tea Trade Association of Malaysia (TTAM)

First and foremost, I would like to convey my heartiest congratulations to Marshall Cavendish (M) Sdn Bhd for successfully launching another edition of Malaysia Food Business Directory. Published annually, this directory features a highly readable overview of issues of relevance to the Malaysian food and beverage industries in its editorial section as well as provides comprehensive information on the diverse range of related offerings available in the country.

Tea Trade Association of Malaysia (TTAM), formerly known as Tea Merchant’s Association Federation of Malaya, was founded in 1955 by a small group of tea merchants in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur. TTAM has grown since, with a membership of about 100 to date, with members spreading throughout Peninsular Malaysia. As the umbrella body for tea traders in the country, TTAM’s main objective is to safeguard the interests of its members by representing them in dealing with government agencies, solving common problems facing tea traders and serving as a platform for information sharing among members. On 10-13 October 2019, TTAM will be organising the 3rd Malaysia International Tea & Coffee Expo (MITCE2019) and the 4th Piala TTAM – Battle of Teh Tarik 2019 at MITEC Kuala Lumpur to showcase Malaysia’s Tea and Coffee brands to the world.

More than a decade-old, this directory continues to provide useful and up-to-date information on available food and beverage related offerings in Malaysia such as poultry, meat, fresh produce, tea, ingredients, additives, kitchen equipment, food packaging and many more. I hope readers will find the information in this directory useful.

Lastly, a big word of thanks to the publishing team for the continuous hard work in compiling this directory.

Ir. Liew Choon Kong
The Chairman of Tea Trade Association of Malaysia (TTAM)
